Ok so I carry a handgun a lot. So of course I like a good stout belt. I've had several over the years that were stellar for this purpose, Mitch Rosen Horsehide with an ARG holster which I still have and it looks as good as the day I bought it pretty much which is over 20 yrs ago. Leather Arsenal from the mid 90's, and a couple of other makers.
Now not to get long winded here but I just rec. a belt from Midway USA and it is made out of a conveyor belt material. Multi layers I might add too. Made by Lenwood USA. This belt absolutely blows every other belt of any ilk I've ever owned out of the water. You could probably tow something with it if it was longer! Got it cheap on a close out too. Anyways I don't usually write about stuff like this but this belt I will probably be buried with. I am sure you can google reviews and such on these belts and everything as to robustness is dead nuts on. Only been wearing it for a couple of hours so obviously not long term but when you get a good piece of kit you can just tell and this folks is superb. keepem sharp
PS It is hard to get through belt loops because of the texturing on the belt and it smells like rubber but I am sure that will dissipate soon enough. Also one will tend to pull any hairs out around your waist if not wearing a shirt tucked in and if you are hairy which is the case on both counts for me.
