I wanted to let everyone know about a great Idaho knife maker named Ben Aikin who goes by bigin here on the forum. I was lucky to pick up a really nice clip point hunter he calls the "Frontier". It is made from 1/8" O1 Tool Steel with an overall length of 8 3/4' with a flat ground 4 3/8" blade. It is a perfect hunting knife and the gorgeous Katalox hardwood handle made me desire a matching fire steel to go along with it. No problem, Ben is an excellent craftsmen and leather worker also, so he crafted me this fine package. I'll post the pictures Ben took when he sold the knife and then some of how it looks today. There is a nice patina on the steel that comes off easily with Flitz but I like it rugged looking. I'm still trying to dull that razor edge he puts on but so far it is still scary sharp.

Thanks Ben!
