Been a giant BRT fan for a while. I always write him or look at his offerings for sale and seem to have no money. This time was no different when was answering my questions about a future commission.

So...I said please Ben make me a kraiken. I immediately put up 5 cheaper knives for sale and luckily sold 4 of them right away. Only 10 days later and here she is and DUDE...look at this thing.

Ben put up with tons of questions without losing patience with my annoying ass and banged out a perfect piece in record time.

Thank you Ben, you're the man. I'll be back for a Skookum whenever possible.

great score dude

Thanks again Rich. I am really glad that you like it!

Perfectly perfect in all respects. I expect no less from Ben. Aluminum or kydex sheath, Rich?

Very nice knife....really like the Turk's head knot.

To Matt Gregory's question about the sheath.....The aluminum Hartsfield style Ben executes is among the best of class. IMO based upon use and preference due to use, kydex is a vastly inferior material unless lined.

So I hope the OP went for the Hartsfield style!

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

I went kydex because I work construction sites often in attics and crawl spaces. I was concerned about the hartsfield there.

I did ask Ben about it yesterday because I'm considering going having the hartsfield as well for days off.

Welcome to the club. One of my favorites.

Clean, clean, clean. Nice score. Ben does great work.

I got one from Ben and really like it. I'm a sucker for cord wrapped knives in this style! I went with the "Hartsfield" and it's perfect. Welcome to the club!!

You'll be very pleased with the Hartsfield sheath! They work great and just look right :)

that looks great. I like the handle wrap and knots a lot. It is a simple blade, but the other treatments elevate it. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the subtle lines of the blade, too. Just saying that the way it is fitted out really adds to it.
