In about '84 I purchased "Bench Mark" knives with the Rol-lok (possibly diff spelling) mechanism. The to open the blade you pressed the thumb notches @ the back of the blade down. The front of the blade pivoted up about 3/4" and then you slid the blade forward with your thumb until the blade locked in place.
I purchased about 8 of the knives and gave them away to friends and business associates and never got around to buying one for myself, and then the cutlery store went out of business.
Last week I purchased the basic model with the plastic handle on E-bay. (and was very lucky to get 1 in Perfect shape!)
I am interested in purchasing a couple more and would like to know where or how to purchase them.
Anybody have any for sale or know where I might look?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Hi,

Welcome to the forums.

The Benchmark Rolox (designed by Blackie Collins)was very innovative at the time. It was compact, a one handed opener, and very safe to use. They are uncommon, but you might want to post an ad in the Exchange Forum.

Good Luck.
