I was looking at the BenchCraft catalog. They make high end US made woodworking tools. One of the things that caught my eyes was the Mag-Blok tool holder. It wooden tool holder with an internal magnet. It is available in Maple, Cherry, quarter sawed Oak, and Walnut. Used as a knife holder it would look fantastic in any kitchen.

Thanks for the move. I could not find a similar post to know were to put this. I am going to order a couple of them just trying to decide which wood. I have a number of knives with Cherry wood handles so Cherry is probably the way I am going.

Oh that is gorgeous transmaster transmaster - I wish I had some wall space in my tiny kitchen for a decent magnetic/wood rack like that.
I have 2 foot knives in 3 vases on the windowsill, 4 knife blocks and two big oak boxes on the bench - I must stop collecting `em.

Thanks transmaster - this is my dilemma - no storage space for anything !
Obviously no cats or kids in the house !

I would suggest a Chef's knife bag. There are all kinds of designs from hard attaché cases to soft waxed canvas and leather knife rolls and bags. Up front one bit of advice a 23 Chef's knife shoulder bag can get rather heavy, so keep that in mind if you pick one, I am currently a fan of the Noble Home & Chef bags and rolls. I also use their blade protectors. I very much like this Chef Knife Bag 21+ Slots shoulder bag. With your knifes stored away like this you can keep them were there is room and just keep your daily used knife with you.

Most of these knives are long - 19" - 27" inches so they will not fit in a knife bag; unless I get bespoke.
I have no wall space, bench space or drawer space either but thanks for your suggestion transmaster.
I am giving knives away but I still have too many and must stop collecting them.

I only take one knife to work - an old, light 8" carbon Chinese chopper and a Lancashire potato peeler - it`s all I need.
