Have been looking at the Benchmade 119 Sibert and able to find a fair number of pictures of the knife and the sheath but basically no pictures comparing it to other knives in the large survival/combat class. I am specifically curious to see comparison pics next to the ESEE 5 and 6, Fallkniven A1 and S1, Ka-Bar BK-2 and fighting knife, Swamprat Ratmandu and Rodent 6, and others in this general category.

I would appreciate pictures of both the profile and along the spine of the blade to compare blade width, swedge, handle profile, etc. Thanks all.

Don't ha e pics but can take some of the A1 next to a Esee6. Both are amazing knives. If you need stainless or live where it's cold and wet get the Falkniven. If not a concern go Esee. I love both! I have a ratmandu too. It's a great too. Lol.i been meaning to get a S1 also. Seems perfect size and the Falkniven are pure function and all business.

Thanks for the pictures, that A1 is a fine piece. I've seen a few good comparisons of Fallkniven and ESEE, just trying to get a feel for some of the lesser known Benchmades as I have always thought their folders were very well built.

I don't have any experience with there fixed blades. Only folders which are very nice indeed. Good luck

I went the extra mile for you Bro.

I checked one out at the store and snapped a picture for ya.

The 119 is a cool knife but it's not my style I prefer the A1 for the same reason my favorite color is blue. Just because :D

Hey, thanks DeadboxHero, above and beyond. It has a wider blade then I was thinking, also interesting how the different finish styles contrast. Thanks for posting!

Thanks DeadboxHero! I've been torn between these 2 for a while and that pic just showed me everything I wanted to see A1 it is!

Actually just finally got a chance to pick up one of the Benchmades at Plaza Cutlery and was surprised how smooth the handle scales are, not in any way like the highly textured G10 on the triage series or the Spyderco military/para2. Think if I bought it I might replace them with custom scales.
