I am looking at purchasing a Benchmade 15030-2 Bone Collector Mini Axis Folding Knife with a walnut handle. It is one of those knives that gets your heart racing! It is a major purchase to me ($100+) I will use it as my EDC. Any thoughts on this purchase including problems with exposing the walnut handles to the elements

Well aside from leaving it in salt water over night, or throwing them at a rock in the the freezing temperatures, you'll probably be fine! :D

And they are original Benchmade scales right? So they would be covered by the warranty just in case.

I'm sure I read that the handles have been stabilized, which means they have had an epoxy pressure squeezed into them. This process should prevent anything untoward happening to them.:)

My only suggestion is to get a large one......bigger is always better!!:D
