Hey, I just picked up a nib Benchmade 15030 Small Bone Collector off the exchange here, and so far I really like it. The G10 handle texturing is awesome, and it looks like they learned from the Rifts sharp edges, and rounded them up, making it a very very comfy knife in hand. The higher weight actually makes it feel much tougher, as opposed to poorly made.
One problem though. One of the scales is not flush with the liner. The gap is large enough that I can easily see straight through to the other side. Also, the small metal piece that is usually on each side (believe its part of the Omega Spring that makes up the Axis Lock) is not even. Its all the way forward in its groove on the flush scale, but about halfway back on the scale with the gap. Does this mean the Spring might be busted? The lock does feel a little weird compared to my other Benchmades. I am including some pics to try to show what I mean a little better:

I apologize for the bad pics, don't have the best photography skills.
So should I try to send this in for warranty? Because I picked it up in a trade, I don't have a receipt, so I am not sure if they would even do anything about it. Or should I try removing the scale from the liner and see if I can reattach it so that its flush, and the spring is in the proper slot? Any suggestions on a way to fix it?
