does anyone have any thoughts (pro/con) on, or experiences with this knife? i'm looking at buying one a black coated plain edge (151bk) for hunting and outdoor excursions.

thanks for your help,

scott

I have one and like it a lot. It rides real flat in the sheath making it comfortable to carry. The rubber inserts on the handle get grippier when wet. I like the 154CM steel - BM does 154CM really well IMO. I've heard some complain that the handle scales don't go all the way to the tang, but it does not bother me at all and it's barely noticeable when using it. Mine sees a lot of use in the kitchen as well. For the price it's hard to beat.

I have a 151 with a plain edge. It's a great knife. I've taken is on some overnight trips. Comfortable to use, great edge good for food prep and wood caving. Cleaned a few fish too. I recommend it (for what that's worth;)).

thanks for your help guys,

i just ordered my first benchmade, the 151bk with plain edge, today. if you're driving through oshkosh, wi, i'll be the guy standing in front of his mailbox;>)
