Benchmade 156BT or Cold Steel SRK?

Welcome to Bladeforums!

Thanks for posting the link to that Benchmade! I see the next knife I'll have to start saving for. That BM is back-ordered according to the site, BTW.

The Cold Steel SRK is good too, but, you better hurry and get one as CS's supplier for these has gone belly-up. CS's SRK is a classic and I imagine there are fans scampering to get hold of another before they go bye-bye, possibly for good. I hope not.

I definately want one of those BM's though!

I prefer benchmades, i have found their product to be superior overall. i had a couple cold steels and thought the workmanship was average and the sheath below average and poorly made. the edge was decent, the finish only fair and rubbed off after a couple sheathings in spots.

benchmade makes great knives, at pretty good prices. imo better steel and grinds. and the lifesharp service is nearly unbeatable.

Lets see cold steel offers a one year warranty on folders and five year warranty on fixed blades.

Benchmades' warranty is forever.

Tough choice.
