I have been looking for a fixed blade camping knife, and I was set on a Dozier. However I just cant afford the money for one. I saw the benchmade 190 for 65 bucks, and that looks like a good deal to me. Does anybody have any experience with this knife or can someone offer a comparison between this and a Dozier? I know the Dozier has better steel, handmade, etc., but for a soild knife used for camping and hunting would this be a good choice?
Thanks for the input

I would vote for the 180 instead. Much more well balanced. Also if I remember correctly, the 190 doesn't have a lanyard hole too, which is a minus to me.

I agree with Tok, I used an Outbounder (180) and field dressed 3 deer and it would still shave. Nice sheath too. Very well balanced and custom looking, in fact it inspired me to have a custom made similar in size etc.

I'll look at the 180 as well, but to me it looks a lot like a kitchen knife. I havent seen one in person so maybe it is just the picture on the BM website, I dont know.
