I have the BM-210TK in S30V. I've really been wanting a 201, but have held off because of the steel.
I handled one...it's of course all the quality of a BRKT and everything you'd expect from BM. The wood scales are not as thick as you would find on a Barkie, making the grip a little slimmer. The BM 201 (like the little (but Not tiny brothers) is a Snody design. A comparable BRKT would be a mini-Skinner, about midway in size between the 201 and 210. The 201 has D2 steel, which I don;t like.....not because it isn;t a good steel, but rather because I don;t have the diamonds or the skill to get it razor sharp. I'd order one right away if it was in S30V or 154CM (or A2, 1095, or similar carbon).
Overall, I really like that knife. It is the exact same humbacked skinner profile, with the gentle, flowing curve between the butt and tip, that I like so much. I liked the sheath too...it's slightly more nicely designed and fitted than the loose-fitting, deep pockets of the BRKT sheaths. I think it's about $80. Pretty nice.
Another comparable knife in shape profile, size, and price is the Buck Alpha Hunter (in ATS34 or 154CM, depending on when it was made).
