I've been looking at this knife on the internet and just about every page has differnt specs on this knife. Is the blade really 2", 2.1" or 2.5" long? Is the overall length really 5.5" or 6.5"? Is the blade steel D2 or S30V?
Also, what are your impressions on this knife? Any owners want to say a few quick words? Thanks

From Benchmade's website

Its a great little knife. When I first held it I was thinking it was too small, but then I started using it and it works great in the hand. I did put a little lanyard on the back and it helps for the grip and drawing it out of the sheath. Fit and finish are tremendous.

Now if they did a 3.5" blade length version that would be an incredibly nice knife.

I've handled one of these in a store, and it's a really nifty little knife. I'm currently going back and forth on getting this or a Busse Active Duty as a fixed blade EDC. It's marginally legal to carry my current Benchmade 800 in both Florida (where I am now) and Canada (where I will be in the relatively near future), but in both places you can legally carry an unconcealed fixed blade. After cruising through some of the forums where these things have been discussed, I get the feeling that the less-obvious Benchmade might be the wiser decision.

Anywho, it really is 5.5" inches long, and feels very solid.

How about the thickness of the handle? It looks very stout in pictures and I would really prefer a more flat handle for more comfortable carry and concealness.

I'm not sure of the exact measurement, but it's comfy in the hand.. . it probably looks stout because it's so small, but it's really not all that thick.

I highly recomend it. I've yet to hear anyone say anything bad about it . It would make a nice EDC .
