Any comments? I notice they are fairly small, would it still be suitable for field dressing deer? I can get one for $75, which seems to be pretty good.

No idea about the knife.
In fact, I haven't seen any of the new blades from Benchmade.
I keep looking/waiting/wondering about the Skirmish, the Resistor, the Apparition. Nobody has any of them in.
Is it just me...or is something strange going on with BM? I got the 2004 catalog 6 or 7 months ago.....& still can't find any of the new knives.
I go to a HUGE BM dealer in East Tennessee (I counted 115+ BM's in the showcase early summer), & he says he is dropping BM - & he's been a dealer for years now.
I emailed customer service 5 weeks ago & still haven't received a response.

Maybe it's just me & my bad luck........anybody else got the skinny on Benchmade?

Have both the 420 Resistor and a 220 fixed blade Resistor. Both are well built and wellfinished knives and for the price are great bargins! Can't help you on the 210 but suspect it is built with the same quality as the 220 and from that standpoint would be a terrific knife.

I don't own one of these but I've handled one at a shop and it made my short list of "next knives to buy". It is indeed a rather small knife, but feels very solid in the hand and is just too nifty not to buy. The folks over on the official Benchmade forum who own them seem to like them, also. (Go over and search for "activator" and you'll find a few threads)

As for field dressing deer, I've never even UNDRESSED a deer, so I know even less about getting them into clothes. :D

BTW, is that price from an online retailer, or a private sale?

It's a mail order/online source...but this price reflects a special "birthday" discount that some places give if you sign up for their newsletter and are a frequent customer. It's really only about $12-$13 under the lowest online price I found, but does sweeten the deal some!

The 210 my most carried, most used blade. My initial impression was that it was too small, yet I found myself using it for almost everything. I usually have it on my neck in a kydex sheath from EDC knives and it comes out to tackle 90% of the things I need to cut. It fills the hand rather well for such a small knife and feels very solid. I usually pair it with a 710HS, ares, or a nim cub. Anything it can't handle can be taken care of by the other knife I'm carrying. I strongly recommend the 210.

I tend to prefer smaller than normal for the task sized knives, including for hunting. I have several custom knives (That I don't want to use) and have plenty of experience with Benchmade knives, so I'm gonna go for it.

I just now realized that I own this knife. I've had it for a few months, although I haven't used it too much. I like the handle, except the screws are an eyesore in the CF. I don't carry it too much because it's too small to comfortably wear on the belt. It just feels like strange bulge on my hip and if my shirt's not tucked in, it looks like a tumor. The edge is good. In fact, after I got done sharpening it, it was too good. The tip has this tendency to poke out the bottom of the leather sheath. I like it, but I wish they tried harder.
