can you get them separately? I have 999 of 1000 from the first run (snody activator) which have a leather sheath and was wanting to get the kydex sheath and haven't found any sites with them.

I'd like to start using it as a neck knife as I dont like it on my belt much.

If you can't find one, just get one made.
There's plenty of guys here on the forum that make custom kydex sheaths.

yeah this was going to be my last option if i cant get a factory piece...great little knife, just the leather sheath isnt practical for me.

Call Benchmade and see what they'll do. You must've got just the 210 model, because the TK comes with the kydex sheath. Or....get it made, but get the maker to make it just like BM's model. If you get one, take the rubber O-ring out. Stick a piece of 120grit adhesive backed sandpaper to the bench and, with your finder on the O-ring, sand that thing down a mite. When you put it back in, you'll be able to tighten it down to where the knife won;t ever come out on its own.

I've been wearing a 210TK around my neck for the last 2 years, every day (including right now). During the first few months, the knife came unsheathed twice. The first time I was wearing a tucked-in shirt, and the knife was laying horizontally down around my belt for at least an hour before I noticed it. It was a miracle that the sharp little sucker didn;t cut me. I sanded down the O-ring, but it came out again a couple of three weeks later during something strenuous or exerting. After the second sanding, it hasn;t come out since.

Fantastic little blade.

hmmm might go custom then, the rate i go i'd lose it...and yes you're right its the 210 not tk, mine has sentimental attachment to it too so its the last knife i'd wanna lose.

There is a major knife venor that is selling the separately for half off retail.

Do you mean there selling the sheaths seperate from knife?

I've got 210tk's with kydex, but would like a leather sheath also.

Could you tell use the site please?

yeah i'd like to know the site (email or visitor message it to me, as i dont think we can link outside vendors), I wouldnt give up my leather sheath because it does still come in handy, just not as well as i thought for a neck knife.

the 210 is a must have IMO though, brilliant knife and its nice to have a first production run benchmade.

I've linked a ton of outside vendors. If there is a new rule against it, please let me know.

What's the big secret, Jnewell? (Maybe the implication is that 1SKS has them).

RobertB: custom if you like, but 5 minutes worth of work on the BM kydex sheath is all it takes to ensure that the 210 is secure when hanging.

Another thing I did with mine is, using paracord, I ran the ends through a double-hole cord lock (available at countycomm.com) which rests behind my neck. The cord has never come loose, ever, but if the knife were ever in a position to hang on something, the cord would rip through the cord lock long before your windpipe was damaged :D

lol ok sounds good to me, factory 210 kydex is the goal then :D and i was guessing linking to an outside vendor was against the rules...i thought they had to be a paid dealer but then again with stuff like that i dunno, either way i want to see who this vendor is.

I had the same impression. For the kydex sheath, check BladeHQ. I bought several a couple of weeks ago for $15/ea.

ok then, thanks for the info...I'll likely contact em directly when i get home and have it shipped to Australia.

Again.....check with Benchmade. They know who their suppliers are and, if they can't dig one up from right there at BM in Oregon, they could guide you to someone who may have some.
