Mini BM 275 adamas review

I got it in the mail today, and I love it. The construction is quality and solid. Blade is D2, and thick at that. Axis lock is smooth as any other axis. Came very sharp, and coating on the blade is nice(wouldn't mind a satin version though). Handle is pretty thick but still feels great in hand, the g10 is a bit smooth but still plenty of traction. The pivot is beefy, and the knife feels indestructible. The price was fair, but a bit spendy. I love this knife, but it might be a bit large for every day. The clip is low-ride, and sits nice and low in the pocket. Feels a bit bulky in the pocket and at 7.7oz is heavy. Sorry for the pic quality and lighting, but I think you get the idea. The fixed blade in the pics is a becker BK2, and the folder is a para 2.

Now for pics

All in all I was pretty impressed, that being said I haven't used it yet so my opinion may or may not change. If you are looking for a beast of a folder at a cost well below the strider/ZT (I'm not talking all ZT's, just their higher end stuff) price point, this is the one for you. I will try and post another review after I've used it for a while.

Enjoy :D

Even given its size and weight, it seems to disappear in my pocket.

The Vallotten carries much heavier at less weight, at least that is my perception. Figure that one out.

I've been very pleased with it.

A great knife from BM. I have been carrying my 275BK since the end of January, which is a long time for me to carry one particular knife. But this knife just has that something about it that makes me not want to give it a rest.

Carried it today, and I loved it. Didn't feel as heavy in the pocket as I thought it would. I don't know how I feel about the clip, makes it a little tricky getting it out of the pocket, but I'm also not used to low ride clips. This knife is defiantly not a "slicer" but I think it will handle just fine :)

considering buying this knife for $125 it will be my first Bmade what would you guys say

If the size is good for you then I would say to go for it. It looks like a real impressive knife to me and I don't doubt that it would perform very well.

the size is one the the things that attracts me to the knife plus the blade shape and blood groove are real cool I like a lot of things about this knife

I think you will be very happy with it. The quality is of a much more expensive knife. If you want a large heavy duty folder this is the one for you :) IMO

Thanks

I heard the axis is a little stiff in the beginning , is this true and did it smooth out all buttery nice

How about satin or stonewashed D2 and ranger green G10 scales? (its a knife for the Rangers right?)
I would buy that for sure.

If they made a satin blade OD model, I would be all over it!

The axis lock on mine came totally smooth, and no issues. I had a mini grip that was a bit sticky at first, but now it's silky. I wouldn't worry about it being stiff or sticky.

Feel free to use the above comment as a sig :D

just for a update i got the knife and I've had it for a few months now. it is my constant companion it even sleeps on the shelf next to my bed its butter smooth to open and the blade is big, tough and razor sharp. i a few passes on my strop once or twice a week and it takes a ludicrously sharp edge . i also love how easy it is to flick open without even touching the blade, its like a gravity knife. you get a wonderful american made knife and get to support our troops in buying it , i thank benchmade and shane sibert for the opportunity to own this knife

i posted this on benchmade's face book wall and they liked it
