Benchmade 311

I came across a Benchmade 311 so I decided to pick it up. After finally identifying the knife I was wondering if someone could tell me more information on the knife as there is not much info on the web for it. Would anyone know what year it was made? How much it might have been originally? Etc. The picture below is a stock photo I found online however it is the exact same knife I have. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to Bladeforums. That does not really appear to be a legitimate knife, at least not one that I have ever seen. The only place i can see them listed for sale or with information is on Chinese import sites.

It's not a legit BM. Benchmade made something that looks similar in their Harley Davidson lineup but it wasn't Benchmade branded on the presentation side and it was an axis lock. Agree with Rev, probably just a cheap Chinese ripoff.

Honestly it's a really heavy knife and it's made pretty well. It did come from Ebay so I will get in touch with the seller. My next purchase will be a Mini Griptilian 556. Is there anything similar to the knife without Harley Davidson in it? I'd like to have a more ornate knife like this one to carry.

I'd highly recommend the 556, it's a great smaller knife. Check the specs on it and make sure it is the size you want and need. There is a large and a small version of all the Grip series. As far as a knife similar to the HD series, there is the classic Buck 110. You can order one from the Buck Custom Shop with some upgraded steel and get different inlay material (stag, wood, carbon fiber). The other option is to look for the a HD knife and have someone apply a CeraKote or GunKote on the blade.
