SOLD[/SIZE]I have a benchmade 42 with sheath for sale. This knife is the 440C, weehawk, spring latch balisong. I purchased this knife back in 2003, and no longer have the box this knife came in. I never cut anything with this knife, so have never needed to sharpen it. This knife has been flipped a time or two, but very rarely, and very simple stuff. I'm not good enough to use this knife the way it was meant to be used.

This knife is in excellent condition with such light wear from the occasional flip that it doesn't show up in photos. Just making it clear that this knife is in almost new, but not new condition. You can tell by the photos that I took good care of this knife.

hey man, you are going to get in trouble with the mods for listing in the for sale section without an upgraded membership.
 
I paid for a gold membership, so I don't know why I wouldn't be allowed to post a knife for sale. I tried and was denied the abillity to post till I was notified that I needed to be a gold member, so I did it. if I'm doing something wrong? let me know.

I think I see what you were getting at now, thx. for the heads up. I believe I made all of the necessary corrections to my profile.
 
I have a few questions, if you don't mind answering.

1.) The sheath looks worn. Has it been worn often?
2.) Have the screws ever stripped out on you? Did you apply loctite?

I should have dusted that sheath off before I took pictures of it. I did have it on a belt for a couple of days after I bought it, then it sat around collecting dust with me taking the kife out on the rare occasion.

The screws were never stripped out, I did locktight them a few years back. That was the extent of messing with the mechanics of the knife.
 
Does it come with the box? Oh yea, you might want to observe the 72 hour bump rule. If that was me bumping the thread on a daily basis, I would have already been kicked out.
 
This will be the final price drop on this knife. I will take $250 for it w/o shipping. If this knife doesn't go, then I'll get some of my patience back and wait till there aren't so many of these floating around, or just keep it. Thx. for looking.
