Benchmade 42

Did all Benchmade 42 have the spring latch. I have any early one that doesn't. Just curious.

Thread on here which I found very informative when learning about my 42. Mine is a spring latch 440c blade which I purchased around 2002-2003...according to the thread the spring latch first appeared around 1999.
