Benchmade 42?

My friend is in love with my BM42 and wants to buy it from me. I declined instantly. After searching through massive amounts of Google search results him and I have come up with nothing.

I'd like to ask if anyone knows where you can find one still, and what the general price to expect is.

If either or both of these questions are against the rules for me to ask, I'll delete the thread (or mods can do it for me). I know I'm not supposed to ask how much my knife is worth, but I'm never selling my BM42, so that's definitely not what I'm trying to do haha.

Any help would be appreciated.
 
Current demand is going for quite a bit more than original MSRP. To be honest, it's really not worth that price and your friend would be better off buying semi-custom pieces at that point.
 
They are crazy expensive now, they are still for sale in the sale tread on a semi-regular basis but for much more that you payed I'm sure. He could wait for the 62 to come out
 
IMO, they were right on with the value before they discontinued them.

They have become so expensive now (around Sebenza price) that they just arent worth it, IMO.

The 62 is coming, but with a street price that is about $50 higher than what the 42s sold for just a few years ago...I won't be buying one.
 
Haha thanks guys. I'll let him know.

To me the 62 looks too similar to the 42 to pounce on it, but maybe my friend will like it :)
