I got this last week and thought I would share a few pictures. This is my first post so I hope everything displays correctly.

I work in an office and wanted something that wouldn't be out of place and this looks the part.

Edit: Hopefully the pictures work this time.

hi. is the blade centering good for this one? i have recieved the sister model Shoki 480 but the blade centering is bad, all the way to one side.

Love the blade shape, handle doesn't work so well for me, but I am definitely interested. A darker handle and it would be awesome.

I bought a 480-1 shoki because I had neither an m390 blade nor a really upscale gentleman's knife. While the knife seems great, I can't seem to get away from my 940. Even at work I never feel the 940 is under dressed. I can't carry then both because having one knife is weird enough to most.

The 940 is a nice knife and I've handled one a few times but it's just a little large to carry in dress slacks for me. The 480 and the 483 were a little more comfortable for daily use.

I can see that. I don't wear dress slacks at work though. What I carry is based on what is sheeple approved.

How secure is the Naklock? I have been skeptical about these locks since reading about some that slip.

at one time I had 2 with the naklock, they were fine. the 480's are really slim, which I favor though this 482 looks sweet. any in-hand shots??

How is the detent and blade retention? I have been wanting to purchase this knife. I have heard about lock failures and weak retention.

For my use around the office, the nac-lok is fine but I don't use it for heavy cutting jobs. I'll take a few pictures in hand when I get home from work tonight.

I've not had problems with blade retention but I've only had the 482 for one week and it's seen little use. I also have the 480 and I've had no problems with it.
