I sent my Mini Presidio 525 to Benchmade for a new blade. Originally the blade was black, serrated. Eventually the black near the tip wore off and I no longer liked the serrated edge. It took a while and it was not cheap, but still cheaper than a new Presidio II. I finally returned yesterday. Immediately I noticed that it was the same size as my Barrage 585-2. See attached photos. The weights are very close, The Barrage 585-2 weighs 3.90 oz and the Mini Presidio 525 weighs 3.75 oz. The major difference is the Barrage is assisted while the Mini Presidio is not.
The cost was $70.00. I called Benchmade before sending it to check if a new satin non serrated blade was available. They had 90 available. I also inquired about a satin plain blade for my Griptilian. They had plenty and the cost would be $55.00.
