Benchmade 527 available with 525 handle scales. for 2016

Was at a local BM authorized retailer today and took notice that they had a couple of Benchmade Mini Presidio Ultras (527) with the 440c blade but instead of having the noral GTX handle scales it looks like they took the handles of the 525 and placed them on the knife. I had to take a double take just to confirm that it was indeed a presidio ultra. I guess this is a new change on an already cool knife!!!!

I just looked at BM's website and couldn't confirm this, but maybe I didn't look close enough...

I hope they don't make that change. I like the Ultra scales a lot better than the aluminum scales of the regular Presidio.
If it is true, I need to hurry up and buy another Ultra

Yeah I don't know if these were just extra parts they may have threw together on some recent runs of Ultras but the place had both older version with the GTX scales and some ones with the aluminum scales. The weight is very different between the plastic and metal
