Which would be best in terms of medium edc use? Also which steel would be better for use, the 440c on the mini presidio or the VG-10 on the delica in terms of toughness, how it keeps it edge, and how easy it is to maintain and sharpen the edge? I've heard great things from both of these knives and i'm not quite sure which one to get. Also the mini presidio is 10 dollars more than the delica, would that be worth it?

Benchmade 527 is Mini Presidio Ultra. Mini Presidio is Benchmade 525 and is totally different animal. If you asked about that knife as compared to Delica I would not have any doubts. But unfortunately it costs a bit more and you did not ask about it.
So my opinion is: go for Delica. It is the knife you have to have. Or go for Mini-Griptilian: another knife you should try. Mini-Griptilian is so much better knife than BM 527 from my point of view! You can also make a decision to go a little over 100 and get a proper Mini Presidio or Mini Bone Collector.... And after you have got all these great knives but still feel that you should have it: buy BM 527 - Mini Presidio Ultra...

Yeah sorry i meant the mini presidio ultra and also i'm debating whether to get that or the delica 4 flat ground

For the last 10 years I've thought of myself as a bit of a Spyderco fanMAN (still do, proudly thank you), but after handling several Benchmades over the last couple of weeks I've realized that I missed out on a LOT of great knives.

I've owned the delica. Great knife, but if it were me I'd buy the BM. I haven't used the model you're asking about, admittedly, so take that for what it's worth, but so far I have not seen an axis knife I haven't really, really liked.

I've had them both-- still kinda miss my little Delica, and I really liked vg-10. But I'd choose the 527-- more "substantial."

I wouldn't let differences in price influence your decision-- both BM and Spydie make great knives, and in this mkt you really do "get what you pay for."

I had a delica for like 10yrs until it got stolen. I lived that knife, but I would get the plain edge full flat ground blade this time.

I have got regular Presidio Ultra: great shape of the handle, Axis lock and good material. But the blade is not quite my taste: the hollow grind is OK but it does not go well with the shape of the blade in my opinion. So thus my earlier comments.

I'd get a 556 Mini-Grip over the 527, it's essentially the same size, has 154CM in stead of 440C, and is flat ground in stead of hollow ground. That said I'd take either the 527 or 556 over a Delica anyday as they are made in the USA and have a vastly superior lock.
