Benchmade 53 Opinions?

Was thinking about trading somebody for one of these and on the fence about. If any has one or had one please post what your thoughts on it are. Good or Bad? Thanks.
 
The 53 is an "EDC" balisong and you will love it for this application.
I have mine clipped to my pocket today.

I have the 51 and it's a fine balisong for actual use. The smaller version would probably be a little more practical for daily use. I'd say get it if you can, it's nicely done.
 
btw, I'd still like to see an Orange 53 with a 440C serrated blade, for EMT's and Rescue workers.
Ulf- Did you get the BM53?

Yeah gonna be trading for it. Never owned a balisong.Though not really a classic example would like to try it. been watching vids and think i'm gonna like it. With the blade shape looks like a more useable balisong than others and should be alot lighter too carry.

It won't work well for flipping, but should be great for actual edc use. I had a 51 and have moved to a 32 for edc and have thought hard about a 53 for edc as well.
 
Yes, the 53 is a user. It's light in weight and that FFG D2 cuts like crazy. Just keep 'er lightly oiled.

I'm not a balisong flipper (I am a trading flipper though), and have both the Bradley Mayhem and 53. Great design for EDC use.
