I bought a new knife, the first one in probably a year. A new Benchmade 530 coated and serrated now resides in my pocket.

I love it. It fits well in the hand, love the axis lock, light and thin. I don't even know its in the pocket. Not a heavy duty knife by any stretch, but for EDC in the city, it will work well for me.

Anyways, now I am in the market for another thin, light knife. Any suggestions?

And a side note. I actually went looking for a pocket knife, specifically a Case. I was thinking about a trapper, but after handling them, and not being able to open it one handed, I was totally turned off to pocket knives. Nothing against them, but I guess I am spoiled.\\

There are a ton of 'thin and light' knives out there.

What kind of price range are you looking at?

The BM 943 is very thin, and light (2.62 ounces). The 940 is a bit heavier and thicker at the tip (2.9 ounces). The 960 and 930 would probably work too. You can find these around 130 new, or sometimes under 100 in the exchange here.

The Spyderco Gayle Bradley and Michael Walker are fairly thin for their size. Both will set you back around 120ish.

I'd also suggest the Spyderco Delica 4 G-10 FFG, or Endura 4 G-10 FFG. They are thin, but larger width wise than the Benchmade knives.

The Spyderco UKPK/Caly 3 are both thin and light and kind of disappear in your pocket. Just under 3" blades and are good slicers.

~$100 is my budget. Little more is OK.

I'll looked at the 940 and 943 at the shop. I don't like the aluminum scales. I had a Kulgera at one time, and I regret selling it. Not only was it slim, it had a little class to it.
