The scales arrived last night and I just had to put them on.

These CF scales really change this knife. It's such a great knife right from the factory, but dang...these scales make it feel super sturdy and I just like 'em better. :) I like the tan standoffs and thumbstud with the black. I think it looks classy.

Now I want an M4 version. I think that if Benchmade put the Bugout in the “Build Your Own” store it would be the most popular one configured. What an absolutely excellent knife this is. A+

Thx for looking.

That’s lovely, I’ve been wondering what the GRY would look like in CF, glad you got the plain scale, kinda makes the brass inserts pop.

Adding this pic. I swapped out the clip with a black cerakoted split arrow clip. Yes, it has been cerakoted. I was given 2 clips like this from a fellow forumite. They are not black oxide, they were sent out and done professionally. I prefer the split arrow clips on most of my Benchmades.

Also, thanks for the compliments. I appreciate it

If you mean the blade color, it is closer to black. It’s like between grey and black.

Very nice man.

Thx brother!

That looks fantastic! How is the traction compare to the FRN scales?

Thanks much. The traction is not that great. They are smooth scales and I thought maybe I wouldn't like it due to the lack of traction. However, I've gotten used to it. The factory scales do have a bit more traction. If I had to do it over again, I would get the wavy texture CF or G10 instead of smooth. They are not bad by any stretch though. RBW makes killer scales. They are so nice they could be factory scales to be honest with you.

Anyone making contoured/sculpted G10 scales for the Bugout? The Rogue scales look really nice but I'm not a fan of the feel of flat scales.

It’s the baby benchmade collection!!! Which one is your favorite??
If you're referring to my post
I have no favourites.
But I'm very fond of my 903 mini Stryker.hands down better than a mini grip and can be picked up rather cheap.Great knife and very solid and sound.
I've heard people mention rough scales .lol .come on now it feels awesome.
Just my opinion mind.
