I see you'd need a star bit to take them off. You can take them off right? Does it make the knife look ugly? Pics?

You need two T6 Torx screwdivers to remove the thumb studs.
However, removing them will leave a small non-functional round hole in the blade and you will persecuted by Spyderco fanboys - so don't do it!!

Lol, that's what i thought. I didnt know if they went all the way through or were threaded into the blade itself. Thanks! I just hate how they catch on my pocket and kind of make it a waved knife lol i've found my finger in the line of fire too many times and got bit once pretty bad.

I use the "flick" method also. I never touch the thumb studs. But i know right when i take em off ill need em or something lol. Id rather have em on than have an ugly hole.
