Hey guys, I was wondering which one of these knives you guys like better? I own both of them and I honestly like the Ritter Grip more then the Manix 2. I like the blade shape, the stonewash finish is better IMO, superior locking mechanism (not based on strength, but ease of use), and I like how the knife sits in your pocket. The Manix 2 has a tendency to sit crooked in your pocket which kinda bugs me, LOL. I have used these knives for all sorts of tasks and I also find the Ritter to cut better because of the blade grind. The hollow ground blade on the Manix2 did not do well on cardboard at all in my tests. It's almost like your not cutting it but just forcing the blade through the cardboard. Maybe if I had an FFG Manix it would be different. Everything I said is based on my opinions on knives and I don't want to sound like I'm giving the Manix2 a bad wrap. It's still an excellent knife and has superior jimping then the Ritter as well. But for me and my tasks, the Ritter wins out.

I don't own the 552 but I've been EDCing a Manix2 for over a year. I have no complaints other than wanting a FFG instead of a HG but I can deal. I really like the ease of one handed opening and closing (even with gloves).

my manix2 isnt a big time carboard cutter either, though if your shaving some wood with it it does well. better imo than a ffg blade. thinner flat grinds seem to fair better on cardboard. i couldnt wave a stick around my house without hitting a ffg knife. so i kinda like a change up like the manix now and then.

personal opinion: the Ritter Grip is ugly... the Manix is better ( or the regular Grip is better - than both of them)
