Benchmade 555 HG Mini Griptilian.
The mini grip is light weight and plays a great role as an EDC folder the modle 555 HG is good for everyday tasks like opening boxes and mail the tip of the sheeps foot blade is very sharp. For a tactical role I don't think it would be the best because it is small and the blade shape isn't that aggressive compared to a tanto style of blade. The jimping is not very sharp compared to the Spyderco salt 1 where the jimping is very sharp and holds your thumb in position the grip's jimping is more rounded and a lot of the benchmade knives just don't get it done. There is nested steel liners they ar'nt seclitionised I think that is good because it is a small knife and the if the liners were seclitionised it wouldn't be as strong and it is a really light weight already. The thumb hole is a good size but if you were wearing gloves it's a bit too small. The pocket clip is very strong and it is black withe the benchmade logo on it the only bad thing about the clip is that the black paint does wear of the slides but it's nothing to complain about. The axis lock is very strong and great for one hand closing. The grip on the handle is'nt as sharp as I would like it to be but if benchmade made it sharp there would be a lot of people complaining so I think benchmade done well is getting it in between. My overall thoughts of the knife is the it is a great light weight EDC and is In a very good price range and all if the coulours and blade shapes is comes in will suit any of your needs.

I find it very easy using the thumb hole because the fat of your thumb goes into the hole,I also like the thumb hole over the thumb stud because you can not Become loose and fall off like the thumb stud can do.

Hope that helped:)

Prefer the Delica to it, but I will say that the Mini-Grip has one of the nicest, best placed thumb studs ever.
