Having a very hard time deciding which knife to buy first. Maybe you guys can help me out on deciding which to get first. Your opinions would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Bugout all day. I had a Mini Freak and I hated the rubbery handle inserts. They felt cheap and like they would not hold up well.

Save a bit more, get a Vector or a Mini Crooked River. Those would be my picks in that size range from BM.

I like the 560 Freek a bit better, mainly due to the blade shape which reminds me of a Ritter Grip. I don't think the rubber handle would bother me. The Bugout is a nice knife also, and a bit smaller. You may want to consider a Grip also.

Freek looks like a nice enough copy of the Ritter blade but that grip material seems terrible. I’m waitng on the new bugout

Freek all day. But save up a little and get the M4 version, the Super Freek. It's hands down the best Benchmade I own.

I have a freek and it’s a good knife overall. However I hate the rubber handles. They are hard to slip in the pocket as they grip the fabric. So if you’re looking at a g10 freek - that’s fine, but if you’re looking into the rubber ones - better avoid.
I also have a Bailout (almost a bugout) with the green aluminium handles - it’s one if my favourite knives - easy to carry, light and comfortable yet robust and long enough for most of my needs. Only thing is the tanto blade that’s not the most versatile, I often use my pocket knives as kitchen knives and a clip or drop point work better there.

I absolutely love my M4 Super Freek. Just last week I picked up the Carbonfiber Mini Freek. I think I have a new favorite!

Freek with S90V and CF. Love the red accents.
Contributing to the necro, but I like mine. The carbon fiber is slick, but it's carbon fiber, I knew what I was getting. For me it was between this freek and the bugout with m390 and aluminum scales and the s90v carbon fiber bugout with blue. The freek just felt better to me as far as feel in the hand, balance, and ergonomics. For me the thumb stud put me off with the bugout, especially the mini versions. Maybe if I had smaller fingertips, but I just couldn't get as much grip on it as I can the freek, as the stud sits closer to the frame on the bugout.

Edit: the Axis lock on the bugout wasn't my cup of tea either. Being low profile I didn't care for the feel of it when trying to move it. Gave me the impression it could be easy for your thumb to slip off of it.

Nice knife, looks like an upgraded variation of Benchmade's Mini Rukus (mine is #160 First Production Run).

Bugout all day, there is something freaky and off putting about the freaks aesthetics, it just doesn’t look right.

Benchmade used to have the Ritter, which they discontinued. It was amazing. Then by chance they came out with the Freak, eerily similar to the Ritter, and a direct rip off IMO. I'd turn down the Freak just as a direct f u to Benchmade not wanting to give money to a designer.

That said the Bugout is unbeatable for a lightweight hiking knife that disappears in the pocket with a solid lock and performance.
