I just lost my most recently acquired folder at a wedding in Alabama this past weekend and had to grab a replacement quick, so I stopped by St.Nick's Knife Factory in Foley (Thanks Guys) and tried a bunch of knives out to see what would fit my XXL hands. I was just about to pick up a discontinued Benchmade auto when I spotted what turned out to be a recently released First Production run 570. I haven't owned a Benchmade since losing an AFCK to another family member a looooong time ago (Hmmm, the knife I had with me this past weekend went to one of my sons... I see a pattern forming), but this 570 felt fantastic and had all the features I was looking for (reversible low pocket carry, decent steel, lanyard compatible, and solid design). Benchmade knocked it out of the park with this one. Just wanted to stop in and say that I'm glad to have another Benchmade in the battery. Good Job Benchmade!!!

Here it is...

The only possible change I might make is to swap the black clip for a silver clip since this clip isn't as tight against the frame as I'd like.

Hey SB!!
Sweet looking knife!
If you'd like to change the clip, just give CS a call. Tell them what you'd like and they'll send it to you free.

Aaaargh Joe, I just ordered a custom Ti clip from the big river. Figures I see this after I ordered a new clip.

Oh well, now I know. THANKS for the info, I may still go that route if the other clip doesn't work out.

Just thought I'd post an updated pic with the new Ti clip from Dennis (Blade4sell). It came with some pink and purple anodizing in the notches that I wasn't expecting, so he took it back, blasted it, then stone washed it for me and it turned out PERFECT!!! I think it makes this knife look soooo much better and the clip actually contacts the handle now and keeps the knife nice and secure in the pocket, so no worries about losing this blade. I couldn't be happier and I'm glad I went the custom route! Thanks Dennis, Great Job!!!

The other cool thing about the clip is that the lip is placed just in the right spot for my ring finger to index consistently and comfortably.

The paracord ends are starting to fray nicely too.

Nice work on the clip, which is a great match. Among the offerings the 570 is a gem and one for my 'have' list.

Really like the 570 handle and blade shape. New clip looks great too, congratulations on a fine looking knife.
