Finished this one last week and figured it was worth a post. Macassar Ebony scales finished with TruOil. Hand engraved/inlaid owl of mother of pearl, paua abalone plus some black and gold mother of pearl. The 583 is a badass knife and the tanto looks great in black.

The customer is an artist and a pretty serious knife collector ...this is her third knife of mine.

Stunning.. Could do without the owl.. but the detail and time into it is absolutely incredible.. amazing job

The craftsmanship and that owl are awesome. Thanks for sharing!

Outstanding work. Owls are badass, that is well done, palette is perfect, super fine job.

I normally avoid things inlaid and, but that knife is a beaut, every bit of it. Since my last name starts with a "K", that Would make it special. Very nice work!

Thanks! This thing came together real nice. The Macassar Ebony is a great wood to work with. Very hard and dense, not as much as the standard W. African Ebony I use, not as heavy on the knife.
