Benchmade 615 Clip Replacement

Hi guys,

Here's a question:

I just picked up a really nice Benchmade 615 "Mini" Rukus, and love everything on it except for the clip.

What's wrong (for me) is it flexes like crazy and is sharp along the edges, and after three days I've already scraped paint off (BM's sending a replacement) but for the moment I've removed the clip and have it in a large velcro pouch.

I just sent an email to Neil Blackwood about solutions and was told on the BM forum that "STR" might have a solution. Anyone know how to reach this gentleman? (Edited to say I sent STR a PM...)

Thanks for any ideas you might offer!

Joe K.

If anyone can come up with a clip to fit it will be STR. I have hated that particular clip ever since it came out on the BM 420. It is just too thin and it does flex like heck. Let us know how it goes with Steve, aka STR.

Hey Joe, nice to see you over here form BMF ;)
Yeah I've heard of the clip on the ruckuses being like that--Maybe you could ask STR to drill and tap for a regular BM clip (like the ones on 710's or 520's or something) so then you can still have a black clip, and it would be stronger.

Good luck!

Steve is the man! He will fix it with one of his low rider clips and you will love it! GOOD LUCK! Kevin :)
