Hello guys,

I have a some money burning in my pocket so i'm thinking about getting another knife, as usual:D
I have the chance of buying a Benchmade 615 Mini-Rukus but i never handled it so i don't know if it's worth the money!
I like the looks of it though but wanted to read your thoughts about it:)

Thanks for looking:)

It's an awesome blade IMO, one of the best designs BM has ever made (along with its big brother, the Rukus). I've carried one as my primary EDC for several years now, though I'm starting to alternate between it and my PM 2 (the PM 2 is lighter). It has always been an excellent cutter and slicer, will take a great edge, and I love the grip profile on the Micarta scales. The locking mechanism has been strong and reliable through a lot of heavy use. Highly recommended.

Everything is wonderful about the 615 except the pocket clip, which is a flawed design. Simply put it flexes too much; and was enough to make me take the clip off in favor of a large velcro pouch. Once I did that the knife was perfect - and the thing IS a little too large for a typical pocket anyway. If you can get this knife for a decent price, I would not hesitate...it's that good.

Just me, but I haven't had problems with carrying the 615 clipped in a standard jeans pocket. Just due to personal prefs, I'm leaning to something a little lighter hence the PM2, but the 615 for ME was great for pocket carry. My clip broke once after about 3 years of carry, and BM promptly sent me a new one for free.

i really don't care about pocket clips. I always take them off:)
it would be for the collection and rarelly used, as are most:D

I like mine so much I bought another. It has kicked alot of others out of my pocket. I carry it 90% of the time. For me the ergonomics are awesome and will be even better without the clip. I say go for it.

Two favorite things about it:
* The nice drop-point blade profile
* The sculpted grip that fits my hand like a glove

Probably the last really good knife BM ever produced. They lost their way after that one. (They also lost me as a loyal repeat customer)
If you can find one at a good price, buy it.

I don't think you will be disappointed. If you don't like it for some reason I'm sure you won't have trouble reselling it. Enjoy.

love mine :)

nice pic;)
is the knife much bigger than a full size griptilian?
you see, i consider myself having medium/small hands so if it is much bigger i may have trouble closing it single handedly!
specially without the pocket clip that takes something else to grab on to.
I hope you're understanding what i'm trying to say:)
English is not my mother tongue so sometimes it's a bit difficult to find the right terms:D

It is a beautiful yet functional knife. One of the best production knives ever in my opinion.

i'll snap a pic for you along side a grip... any other knife you wanted to see it side by side with? the knife in the photo alongside it is a mini aegis.
i personally dont mind the pocket clip, i put them into a vice and bend the fold in to get more tension out of them. ive had 2 snap on me however getting snagged on seatbelts and what not. a popular mod some have done is remove a tiny bit of material in the handle scale and use the mini skirmish "spoon" clips which you can request from benchmade.

I'm amazed by it ergos!
It really feels good in the hand with that bit of weight but i don't consider it heavy at all. I feel like the weight's perfect for this sized folder.

It's EXTREMELY sharp and already gave me a nasty cut!
I guess it's trully mine now:D
BTW, sorry for the crappy pics but the lighting's very poor now and i really wanted to share this with you guys:)
I'll take some better ones tomorrow;)
