I got it several days ago. It's has three holes instead of four and marked "Prototype,Sep 2003" on the blade. Nice, big with super fit and very good finish for a production knife. Fit is almost sebenza's quality , no blade play, rock solid lock up, blade is perfectly centered open or closed. Finish is amost out there too. Thumb rest on top of the blade has execcelent finish, smoothered edges but enough to keep you thumb without sliding. Blade's geometry is awesome, very strong and agressive. When closed most of it's impressive size gets hidden inside the handle, which is very wise.
Handle has perfect finish as well, sits in the hand comfortable in various grips. Blade is not stonewash, it's more like bright satin finish to me.
Of course I have found several things that I would change.
1- shiny clip is too large for my taste, also had to take it of the knife and bend it a little bit to make it tighter against the handle. May be I will anodise it later on.
2-no lanyard hole and there is actually no room for one. Blade's tip sits 1/8" from the end of the handle ,when closed.
3-handles' titanium slabs could have been a little thicker, considering the blade thickness. They appear to be less or may be equal size to sebenza's.
4-and last that bothers me is the way the lock's cut out in one of the frame sides. Comparing to sebenza that has a little circle at the end of cut out, that equally divides the force created by disangaging the lock, preventing it from cracking the cut out line any further than it's made. It least it's how I see it.
On 630, there is no circle cut,cut out line just stops at the certain point. This makes me wonder if it's a weaker design. Hope you understand my poor english. Any input on my concern would be appreciated.
Also, does anyone know any way to anodise my clip??? Thanks.
