This is a nice knife, well built knife. First impressions, BIG!! This is a very intimidating knife and its name is well suited to its character. I think if the Police have an issue with you and find this Big Boy, your in trouble.

As I said it's a well built knife. Fit and Finish is very good. It opens easily and locks up tight. I like the framelock design. The S30V blade is first class, but I have concerns about sharpening this guy when its needed due to the belly grind and added difficulty of sharpening S30V.

It carries well clipped in front or back pocket on jeans. I preferred back pocket.

If your looking for a large, aggressive knife for personal defense carry, this would be a good one. I'm not sure I see any hunting/utility applications.

I appreciated the opportunity to spend quality time with this knife.

I had one and sold it. Great knife! Just too big for me to carry daily.

Only "issue" I had with it was that I kept wanting to choke up on the blade and I couldn't due to it's design.

I have one and love it but I like big folders as much as medium sized folders.

Mine sharpens pretty easily and in fact is razor sharp right now :D

I love mine.Opens are super smooth and the lockup is absolutely rock solid, unlike my other bm axis locks knives which all have a very slight degree of play.I consider it the best bm made and best in my collection.

I have two - first one, the standard model, didn't have the best factory blade grind. Lock up was great though. The second, the grey handle, black blade model, is fantastic and is my favorite knife. Sharpening is easy on a sharpmaker turned to the edges. Lockup is absolutely rock solid; best of any factory knife I've ever had. From blade to ergos, fantastic knife and a great value. Oh, and it opens faster than any other knife I have as well. It opens as fast as taking it out of the pocket - it might as well be an auto. These days, I only carry two of my 20 or so good factory knifes: a sebenza for the work week and the skirmish on weekends. The skirmish carries very flat and I can carry in dress pants no problem, it's just that sheeple freak out when I'm cutting an apple at work with it. The sebbie doesn't get that reaction.

I love mine. If you think a normal Skirmish will scare sheeple... look at mine :D

Solidsoldier was kidnapped by some Hell's Angels and became so disturbed that he took out his angst on that poor knife. Something like that. :D

I bought a Mini Skirmish a couple of years ago and I love it. I put off buying a full size Skirmish because of its size. I ended up buying a used one for less than $100.00. When I say used, I mean dull. Speaking of that, who pays $200.00 for a knife, carries until it's dull, and practically gives it away. Anyway, I sharpened it and have been carrying it for almost a year. I carry it clipped to my jeans pocket. If I wear shorts, I leave it in my truck and carry the Mini Skirmish. It's a little to heavy for shorts. Although, the more I carry it, the smaller it seems to get.

Skirmish is my go-to knife in the yard. It cuts great, digs and pries well, cleans up easy and then asks for more. As far as being "tactical," not for me - it's more "horticultural."
