Benchmade 665 APB assist

This is my first high quality knife, before the 665, the best knife I own would be a CRKT obake or a buck 102. I completely love the 665, but have not cut anything but paper with it yet. It was hair popping and paper slicing sharp out of the box. Some people have suggested de-assisting it, but if i wanted a manual, I would have bought a griptilian. Once I get to actually use it, i will update the thread. The plade has a tiny bit of play but is very well centered.

Here's mine and I also love it assisted! I remember reading Craytab's post where he de assisted his and he loves it. If I had confidence in my knife mechanical abilities, I might try it, but nope!
That bad boy flies open and locks up tight!! Love the blade profile too......nice and thin behind the edge makes for a slicer extraordinaire!!!
In regards to the blade play, if it bothers you, try tightening the pivot a MINUTE amount! I mean just a tiny bit!! This stopped the play in mine.
