This knife has ambidextrous thumb studs made from 300-Series stainless steel. These were made by a machinist friend of mine and installed to make the knife a little more user friendly. The knife was carried a couple of times and played with a lot (i.e. just enough to get it operating smooth and fast). Blade will shave hair
