Benchmade 690-BC1

Im pretty much just a lurker on these boards,lots of good information to pick up. Im relatively new to the knife scene. My first quality purchase, a 710D2, was getting a little rough around the edges before a friend of mine lost it on a hike. Im completely into the benchmade 690's but theyve been discontinued.
Basically my question to you guys is how can i go about finding a decent 690BC1. ive checked around just using search engines, ebay and the classifieds here but no real luck and ebay is hit or miss with the last minute shang-hai bidding goin on.
Any suggestions on where to look are appreciated.

You'll have to keep an eye out in the "For Sale" forums on the "Exchange" page. You can also post in the "Wanted" section that you are looking to buy this particular knife. After that it is just a waiting game. Good luck on finding one!:D Oh yeah, WELCOME to Blade Forums!!:)
 
They have been discontinued for a while. I dont own one and im kicking myself for not buying one when i had the chance. Like cutter said it is just a waiting game. If you do find one it probably wont be cheap. A couple other suggestions would be:

run a google search for it and see if any online stores my have one. If you see one YOU HAVE TO call the store before just purchasing it because more often then not the website is out of date and the knife wont be there. It is a hassle to get your money back then.

Secondly id go over to the benchmade forum on the bechmade site and check their for sale and wanted forum. They also might have more suggestions there too.

I have a 690. I don’t use it much but I like to fondle it now and then. There is a Sportsmen warehouse in town that has one for $170 IIRC. I don’t remember the exact model. I will send you a PM with the phone number.
