Benchmade 690

Well.....I saw it and I had to have it. It's the best looking Benchmade collaboration I've seen to date. Cool pocket clip too. I do have one question though. Is the 690 based on an existing Elishewitz model or is it an exclusive design for Benchmade? The reason I ask is because all the other Benchmade/Elishewitz models have names like the Stryker, Ares, Nimravus....etc.

This is an exclusive design for BM, but is does have a strong family resemblence to the current line of Elishewitz folders, such as the Djinn or the Cortex.

IMHO BM did a great job with this knife.

Thanks knifenerd. I can't stop admiring it. The dealer who sold it to me gave me a free Benchmade sheath as well. I haven't wow'd over a production knife this much in a while.

Elishewitz does make a custom version of this knife, but I have no idea what it's called. Beck's Cutlery has one in stock.
