Just got my 705BC1HS from the man in brown today. For those of you who don't visit the BM forum, it was recently discovered that there was a run of knives similar to the BM Forum knife. The original purchaser backed out, and it seems like only 37 of these made it into being. There are a few differences between the two, mainly the newer LE having a matte finish and a solid backspacer. Both have carbon fiber handles, M2 blade, and BC1 coating.

Here are a few comparison pictures of the two.

Very cool. Good to know there are now 137 705's with M2 steel. Perhaps one day I'll be able to actually get one :D . Is the full length backspacer made of steel or carbon fiber? Gotta love a full length backspacer.

The old ones were steel pegs that look like "Devo" hats (but the knives aren't through with being cool) and the new ones have a Delrin-style material.

Thanks for the pics. I am awaiting a 705 forum knife from may 2000 which has aluminum handles made to look like CF. I am also looking forward to the wood inlay LE which is coming out in Dec. Peace, Josh

Ah. You would mean the Knife Of The Month (KOTM) edition. Yes, that is a nice knife also. I am also awaiting the 705BW due out later this year.
