Well, all of my EDCs are on the way to their respective companies. Native III on the way to Spyderco to be tightened up, afraid to do anything to it and possibly void the warranty. Sending the 556 mini Grip I got in a trade to Benchmade because, while I can sharpen carbon steel just fine, my corky self can't sharpen 440C :o  , at least not to hair shaving sharp. I've got money burning a hole in my pocket, and was going to get a 556 in 154CM, when I finally decided I wanted a Ritter RSK mini Mk1 in S30V (not getting one in M2). I'm also interested in the BM 707 sequel, I really like the blade shape and the handle. Actually, I really like both of these, unfortunately, I can't afford to get both. Which one do youse guys think I should get? Both seem to be top performers, these will be used for simple tasks, BTW, I don't really need the 154CM or S30V, I could make due with 440A for an EDC if I had to, but I like having the super steels. I have checked reviews on here of both knives, but would like some current feedback.

I already have several outlets in mind for the 707, and, natch, would have to get the Ritter from Aeromedix.

I've had all three knives you discuss. I've had a 707 PE, a Ritter Grip, and also a 154CM Mini-Grip.

The only one I kept was the Mini-Grip in 154CM. I don't like the blade on the Ritter, I find it too fat.

The 707 is great but I hate the aluminum handles.

The Mini-Grip is perfect. I just got my 556 about 2 days ago. Love it.

She's a keeper.

If you've never tried Kershaw, I really think you should try out a G10 Leek with an S30V blade.

Only $85 and kick butt. I'll be doing a full review on mine when it gets back from Kershaw. :)

WRT the S30V Mini-RSK MkI, remember that Aeromedix offers a 100% money back guarantee. So, not much to lose giving it a try. Don't get many returned. :D

Silenthunterstudios,

Remember that "Critter" is Doug Ritter and is obviously biased heavily towards his own knives. :)

I have a yellow Ritter Mini-grip that I LOVE!! In fact, since they won't be delivering until June, (I will be able to afford it then.) I ordered an M2 Ritter Mini-grip!! GET ONE, YOU WILL LOVE IT!

And this is why I have four 705s (705BT, 2 x 705-401, 705 Forum), but still no 707 yet. Aluminum is nice to look at, but it's not a "user" material like G10 is.

I'm hoping for a 707 in G10 some day. :)

I couldn't have said it better myself. The only difference is my mini grip has the black handle. I don't see how anyone could not like the Ritter mini grip. I like mine A LOT. The only knife I have that I like better is my full size Ritter grip.:)

I have a 707 and love it. I really dig aluminum handles, and the G10 inserts give it a nice added feel.

I'd go with the 707 personally.

or give the G10/S30V Leek a try like somebody else mentioned.

I don't have any experience with the Ritter Mini Grip, but I bought a 707 Sequel last week and I like it a lot. I think the aluminum scales with G10 inlays are great.

You may also want to check out the new H&K 14210 by Benchmade... Same size as a 705/707, but better ergos (for me at least) and you still get the killer G10/SS liners/axis lock combo.

Wow this one is a rough question. I happen to have both and they both happen to be my favorite small folders behind my small seb. Hmm...If you want a true user and dont care about your jean pockets go for the ritter. It has a great blade shape and grind. Honestly, you can't screw up.

Wow, this is an old one. Only BM's I have now are my Ritters. I am looking high and low for M2's. My EDC's are my large and small micarta Sebenzas, except for a few other folders, most of my EDC's are gone the way of the dodo. However, the Ritters are probably my favorite BM design. 551 and 710 being a close second.
