Benchmade 710 D2 SOLD has been carried a few times and only cut some paper. I re-sharpened the blade to a 40 degree bevel since it arrived closer to 50 and wasn't too sharp. Taken to strops for a razor sharp edge that's D2 tough.
On the G-10 scale for right hand deployment, I lightly sanded the edge with 700 grit sand paper to roll it back a hair, inside the thumb-stud to allow easy, lightning fast deployment. You wouldn't notice it if I didn't mention it, but you'll like it!
I haven't really "used" this knife - it's been sharpened and the G-10 sanded so it has to be sold as used. After several years in my safe, it's time it went to a good home.
There's a few faint lines (not dings) on the satin finish blade which I can only account as originating, from being wiped down with a particle/s of stropping compound still on the edge?? It's cut nothing but some pieces of copy paper to test sharpness.
Comes with the original box, paperwork in black pouch. I'm accepting PayPal (cash/gift option) for payment SOLD.
Original RAT RC-3 MIL with foliage green sheath, MOLLE backing for full sheath conversion, MOLLE Locks, boot clip, paracord lanyard and cord lock. Complete kit as purchased in original plastic bag.
I've purchased the custom G-10 extended handle for this one, the original canvas micarta scales come with it. I've used it lightly but only around my yard and fuzzed a few sticks for a campfire with it to check sharpness and usability. The blade has been sharpened from it's obtuse edge to 40 and it cut news-print yesterday when I got it out for pics..
It's close to new condition. Selling for SOLD (comfortable new handle and the original kit).
