Benchmade 710 or para 2?..

In terms of size, the 710 is more comparable to the military, however, they both might be a little too big for edc based on legality... if I play it safe, they are too big legally--BUT, they are outstanding in terms of utility. Based on legal edc restrictions (at least in my area) the para2 is a lot of knife in a relatively small (though not too small... more like medium) package. I love my para2 and recommend it totally. I am not sure about laws/ restrictions in your area and the uses you have in mind, but the para2 likely works whatever the case. Either way, great knives.

I second the para. The 710 is a nice knife but I just prefer the blade shape and the ergos of the para its just a damn good knife.

710 !
For sure

I would pick a Para 2 without a doubt. Hold one and use it for a day and you will see why. They have great ergos, slice well, and are great edc knives just look at all the people who have them.

Para 2 for me... though i only have a 705. The para 2 is light, strong, extremely ergonomic, great steel, cheaper, and has a choil that works perfectly for me. Whats not to love?

That's a tough one, both knives I really like. You'll have to weight which futures you like more if you only plan on getting one of them.

Just get both...

I have a PM2 but not a 710 although I have a lot of Benchmades. I think the PM2 is a good choice for a user, but the 710 if you are heavily influenced by how the knife looks. If I was going to pick Benchmade I would pick the 581, 890 or 913.

Benchmade 710 or Para 2?

For me it would be the 710.

Both knives are on a level where there is no "Better" rather which you prefer or best suits your individual needs.

They are excellent knives made by two of the best production companies with great CS and warranty.

You can't go wrong with either.

I've had 10-15 PM2's in various flavors. I've had one 690 which I carried for a few yrs; good knife.
Gave away the 690.

I'd disagree with that. It's got a fairly long handle especially for how little cutting edge you get.

get the 710 in m390 or M4..........the 710 has been my EDC since my second year in the service ( about 9 years ago ) and while Ive tried many other brands and models ( including the Millie and Para2 ), I always go back to the 710. Perfect blade length, great blade shape for many tasks, great lock, easy to open. Once you get used to flicking your wrist and tapping the Axis, you can get it open faster than an Auto.

Yeah, especially compared to the 710. The 710 has more edge than a Military in the same handle length as the Para2. Between them, the 710 wins for most knife for the size
