Does anyone have a problem sharpening the 710 on a benchstone? Or does the blade have too much of a recurve and it needs to be sharpened with a stick? I was considering buying a couple of the models (710 and 710HS). Thanks! :)

I sharpen the recurve part of the blade with a Sharpmaker using the corners of the rods.

I've had success sharpening mine on an EdgePro. I had also reprofiled it a bit to bring the edge angle down closer to 30 degrees, so that might have something to do with it. Since when using the EdgePro, you keep the stone moving along the edge, the recurve mostly catches the corners of the stone at first, but it still works. Just have to keep it moving.

KeithAM said it. The Sharpmaker using the corners of the stones is the way to go with any recurve blade.
