Benchmade 730 ATS-34

I purchased one and it sayes the blade is ATS-34, but Benchmade's web site states that it is 154cm steel. What the deal?

You probably have a preproduction 730 like me. I believe that the regular production 730s will be 154CM.

Actually I have a 730SBT production model that has the ATS-34 blade. Maybe this was one of the first production models before they switched to 154CM. If you look in the 2000 catalog, it even has a picture of a 730 with ATS-34, even though it says in the description that they use 154CM.
