I have a Benchmade 730 knife. The handles (G-10) got dirty, so I cleaned them with soap and water and they got really light (faded color) after I cleaned them. How can I darken them again like they were when I first bought it? The handles are a green and black color and were beautiful when I first recieved it. What can I do? -----Michael

Try a little wd-40, it has always worked for me. Just soak it down and let it sit a few min. then wipe off the excess. Hope this helps. Steve

How about that. That's what I've been trying.......I guess I'll put on more and let it soak for awhile. Thanks, Steve!

The soap may have etched the G10's outer layer. Alkalinity can do that to some plaastics like polycarbonate. You may be able to polish it off or lightly sand and buff it to get it back to normal.
