How rare are these? I love the Ares design, but I hate the black coating. I see one on Ebay right now, but the auction ends at a bad time and I can't buy it. I can't seem to find one in online shops. I would really appreciate any help finding a place I could buy one. Thanks.
 
The auction sites are most likely the only places where the satin finish Ares are available.

On eBay, one can bid for a product even if the auction ends while you're at work, asleep, etc. One only needs to bid the maximum amount one would consider placing for the auction. eBay will automatically increase your bid in increments until either: a)you win the auction or b) someone else outbids your maximum bid.
 
Is it possible to have the coating removed by a member who knows how? If so, how much would something like that cost?
 
I removed the coating on my old one, but I will tell you it is very labor intensive to do with hand sanding so as not to scratch up the blade. Then when it is all over the finish under the coating needs a lot of work to make it satin. The black finish is really baked into the blade. So yes it can be done, but it is work.
 
Something like this? It is a special version of 732 made some time ago for Moteng internet store. BTW all versions of Ares are now discontinued.
