Hey All!
I have been EDCing my new BM 740 Dejavoo for about 2 months now and can't seem to leave it at home. It has been perfect in every way. Nice size and lightweight. Sharp as Heck and still is! Great feel in the hand. I was wondering what some of you folks think of your Dejavoo? Thanks Baba...

I love mine, but the shiny pocket clip was a bit "loud" for EDC'ing at work I emailed BM and they sent new black ones for free. Ya gotta love those guys and gals at BM Service. Here are before and after pictures...

Hehehe. Not exactly. It's a padded rectangular carrier that has 11 slots sewn into it for holding individual knives without scratching them. Folds open like a book with 5 on one side and 6 on the other and folds closed with velcro fasteners. Picked it up for about $20 on the Bay.

I got the chance to fondle one the other day and fell in love. Great knife. Looks awesome with the black clip.

Man, what a nice looking knife.... in silver or black! I've seen the Dejavoo several times and was mildly impressed with it, but those photos, for whatever reasons, add a new dimension to BM's latest offering. I have been dead-set on my next folder being the mini-Squeamish, but I might....just might...have to factor in a Dejavoo!

Thanks for the photos!

I'm kind of an "Old School" Benchmade fan so I thought it would be fun to see how the new Dejavoos compared to some old favorite BM's of mine. I took these awhile ago and posted them on another forum, but I thought this thread might be a good fit.

I got to handle a mini tonight.

Much nicer in person than in a picture. Better visual balance too. I thought the handle looked too disproportionate in the pictures, but real life was different. And much better.

Downsides:

Clip on the mini dug in my palm a bit.
G10 was a bit slippery, needs some texture. Checkering wouldn't look right, but ridges/lines or something would work.
Needs an axis lock, but what knife doesn't.

I have a mini-dejavoo and couldn't be happier. I picked it up last weekend from RRG. It is just about the right size in the hand, with a classicly shaped blade, smooth G10 scales, S30V blade, bronze phospors washers, etc...etc...

This is a great knife. Makes me ruminate on the old Spyderco Calypso (not jr.). Big thumbs up on this one. Old Bob keeps designing some good 'uns.

I got my mini , When I open the knife the liner engages the blade locking area less than 1/4 of the thickness of the liner. any one with the same problem.

Nemesis, did you really mean to say 1/4 the thickness of the liner? Or do you mean the liner stops at a point about 1/4 the thickness of the rear of the blade (blade locking area)? I mean, given that the liners aren't even 3/32" thick, if it was engaging the lock at 1/4 the thickness of the liner, that would leave 3/4 of the liner not doing it's job. The contact area of the liner would be much less than 1/32".

My guess is you meant that the liner only slides in about 1/4 of the distance you think it should. If it doesn't lock up to your satisfaction, or if you think it might fail at some point, you could send it to Benchmade. I would think they would shave a few thousands of an inch off the end for free....and apologize for the inconvenience.
